PITTSBURGH, PA -- Designed for an upper elementary audience, Boom! is the third CD from the world's only rock & roll nutrition show Jump with Jill. This 7-song EP is a heartpumping, genre-hopping concept album created by Registered Dietitian and musician, Jill Jayne, MS, RD. With electronic dance music, funk, rapcore, and pop rock, the nutritional lessons cover exercise, hand washing, fiber, trying new foods, and mindful eating. This album follows the success of the Get Me Goin' (2008) and Goin' on a Journey (2011) which was considered for a Grammy nomination for Best Children's Album.
"I can say in my completely biased opinion that this music is clinically proven to make your kids dance while overtly teaching them about the important message of respecting their bodies through healthy choices," says Jayne. The world famous Jump with Jill show has been performed 2,000 times for three quarters of a million kids across the United States, Canada, and Europe and is actually research-proven. A unique approach to childhood obesity prevention, Jump with Jill uses music and dance to celebrate healthy habits by transforming nutrition education into a live concert.
More than any other album in the Jump with Jill catalog, Boom! sounds the most like current radio pop because it had a short timeline from conception to release. This guarantees, more than ever, a mutual enjoyment by kids and parents. The overall sound palette is intensified to play to a primary audience in the School District of Philadelphia where Jump with Jill is performed hundreds of times each school year.
The music video featuring the single, The Sweet Beat, is also available online as a free nutrition education tool. Kids are asked to post response videos by picking their two favorite fruits and making up their own dance with the hashtag #sweetbeat.
