Pettisville FFA alumni named 2015 Outstanding Horizon Members


Chris and Char Lee of the Pettisville FFA Alumni Affiliate were named Outstanding Horizon Members of the Ohio FFA Alumni Association during the 44th Ohio FFA Alumni Convention held in Columbus, OH, on Feb. 20.   The FFA Alumni Association appreciates new members that are supporting agricultural education programs and the FFA in Ohio.

Char and Chris have supported the FFA by serving as chaperones to state and national conventions, working the pumpkin fest, pork dinner and by helping monitor the recycle center.  They have judged science fair and public speaking on the local, county and district levels.  Lee’s first joined two years ago.   The Horizon award is for first – third year members.

FFA Alumni Affiliates were formed to operate in support of the over 7,757 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.   The National FFA Alumni Association is an organization of more than 53.585 active members all part of 1,400 active Alumni affiliates.

Their purpose is to help today's agricultural youth by joining together in a united volunteer effort to assist FFA, promote a greater knowledge of the agricultural industry, and support education in local agricultural education programs.
