Ag professional named president, CEO of Fieldwatch
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN -- FieldWatch Inc., a nonprofit company with an online specialty crop registry program, announced May 16 that Stephanie Regagnon has been named president and CEO of the company.
As part of her responsibilities, Regagnon will lead the continued rapid growth and expansion of its member states, applicators and producers. She joined the company to take over the helm of its DriftWatch Specialty Crop and BeeCheck Apiary Registries.
Regagnon has 15 years of experience within the ag industry and will replace Reid Sprenkel, who led the launch efforts of FieldWatch and is stepping down from the role in June, after four years, to pursue other interests.
"We had a time-consuming search to find Stephanie," Reid said. "She is a perfect fit for the role and brings a wealth of experience in agriculture and the renewable energy sectors with proven success in stakeholder engagement which is a critical foundation of FieldWatch."
Regagnon also played an instrumental role in the formation and launch of the Honey Bee Heath Coalition and can help lead the adoption of the BeeCheck registry in North America.
"I am looking forward to this new challenge with FieldWatch and am excited to work with the multi-stakeholder board, existing and future members and a growing user base to further develop the opportunity and valuable stewardship tools," Regagnon said. "I am fortunate to be asked to lead such a young company that prides itself on data integrity and successful coexistence of growers, beekeepers and applicators through communication, cooperation and collaboration."
FieldWatch is located in the Purdue Research Park of West Lafayette and was developed by Purdue University Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
"Stephanie’s contagious enthusiasm coupled with her relatable experience and industry knowledge makes her a key addition to FieldWatch," said Steve Smith, chairman of the FieldWatch board of directors. "We view her appointment as a sign of our commitment to having FieldWatch be a significant factor in agricultural stewardship.
"Reid has done a remarkable job getting us to this point and Stephanie is well suited to take us to the next level."
