Weil awarded $4,000 Archie Studer Scholarship

EAST LANSING, MI -- Stephanie Weil of Goodrich, MI, was chosen as the 2016-17 recipient of the Archie Studer endowed scholarship through the Michigan Dairy Memorial Scholarship Foundation Inc. at Michigan State University (MSU).  The $4,000 scholarship is named after the late Archie Studer, who owned and operated Kenowa Acres Dairy Farm for more than 35 years.  Weil is the fifth recipient of the Studer Scholarship.

Weil is the daughter of Dan and Shauna Weil.  She received the award based on her academic achievements, involvement in extracurricular activities, and interests in one day pursuing a career in dairy management.  She is a junior in Animal Science at MSU and expects to graduate in May 2017.

During her time at MSU, Weil has been involved in the MSU Dairy Club, Exclamation Percussion Ensemble, and her church’s Sunday School Program.

After graduation, Weil plans to work on her family’s dairy farm to become a partner and continue their family legacy.

The Michigan Dairy Memorial and Scholarship Foundation oversees the largest scholarship program in the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and one of the largest at MSU.
