Champions named at Gelbvieh Junior National Show

STILLWATER, OK -- Members of the American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA) gathered for the 2016 AGJA Dirt Road Classic in Stillwater, Oklahoma, July 3-8, 2016. 145 members participated from 17 states and Canada.

The Gelbvieh show and steer show took place on Friday, July 8. Judge Doug Satree, of Montague, TX, evaluated the 15 steers, 12 bred and owned Gelbvieh bulls, and 84 Gelbvieh females.

The grand champion bred and owned Gelbvieh bull was owned by Karen Eby, Duncan, SC. SDSC Mr. Handy Man is the May 2, 2015 son of CRAN Buddy Boy T729.

HSCF Charming Charlie claimed the reserve grand champion bred and owned Gelbvieh bull. This bull was owned by Connor Durham, Belton, SC, and was born November 17, 2015. He is the son of GGGE 3G Time Machine 758T ET.

Supreme grand champion Gelbvieh female was HTFG Ms Bliss B1427 owned by Kyler Camerer, Asbury, MO. This October 3, 2014 heifer is the daughter of JRI Enhancer 53U21. She first claimed champion senior female and grand champion Gelbvieh heifer.

Reserve supreme grand champion Gelbvieh female was TJB Vanessa 016W 424B ET owned by Lara Rittenhouse, New Carlisle, OH. This heifer came out of the senior female division and first claimed reserve grand champion Gelbvieh heifer. She is the daughter of TAU Gunslinger 19U and was born September 1, 2014.

POST Post Rock Wilma 340B8 claimed supreme grand champion bred and owned Gelbvieh female. This October 15, 2014 heifer was owned by Meredith Clark, Barnard, KS, and is the daughter of JRI Top Producer 282Z3. She first claimed grand champion bred and owned Gelbvieh heifer.

Justin Ringkob, Lake City, SD, owned the reserve supreme champion bred and owned Gelbvieh female. PCCI Ms Exclusive 5118C ET came out of the spring yearling heifer division and is the April 4, 2015 daughter of CCRO Carolina Exclusive 1230Y.

The grand champion steer was AHL Flash 56C weighed in at 1,385 pounds and was owned by Jady LeDoux, Agenda, KS.

The reserve champion steer was SKYS 5015C owned by Anna Ring, Oregon, IL, and weighed in at 1,280 pounds.

The Balancer show took place on Thursday, July 7. Judge Blake Bloomberg, Stillwater, OK, evaluated the six bred & owned Balancer bulls and 116 Balancer females.

Grand champion bred and owned Balancer bull was JNCC Crimson Cash 514C owned by Cameron Nowack, Bland, MO. This bull was born February 27, 2015 and is the son of RAG Super Sonic.

Reserve grand champion bred and owned Balancer bull was owned by Chase Tabor, Stillwater, OK. TTTT Sugar Baby is the March 15, 2015 son of TTTT Sugar Daddy ET.

Supreme grand champion Balancer female was BCFG Butlers 133C owned by Alexandria Raab of Markle, IN. This November 2, 2015 daughter of BCFG Butlers Bismarck 512Z was first named grand champion Balancer heifer and came out of the senior heifer calf division.

Reserve supreme champion Balancer female was owned by Tanner Taubenheim, Amherst, NE. TAU Ms Fancy 414B ET is the January 22, 2014 daughter of Connealy Consensus. This female first claimed the grand champion Balancer cow-calf pair.

Supreme grand champion bred and owned Balancer female was AMT 327C owned by Austin Teeter, Mount Ulla, NC. First claiming the grand champion bred & owned Balancer heifer, this heifer is out of FMGF Blue's Impact 001X and was born September 1, 2015. She came out of the senior heifer division.

Reserve supreme champion bred and owned Balancer female was owned by Brooke Nowack, Bland, MO. BROK Maleficent 401B was the reserve champion Balancer cow-calf pair is the January 10, 2014 daughter of Connealy Final Product.

Reserve grand champion Balancer heifer was GHGF Calista and owned by Austin Teeter, Mount Ulla, NC. She is the daughter of GHGF Zeus 61Z. Born November 14, 2014, she first claimed champion senior female.

Chisum Grund, Wallace, KS, owned the reserve grand champion bred and owned Balancer heifer. Ms Chrisy 529C is the daughter of BCFG Butlers Red Oak 908W and was born on February 3, 2015 and came out of the winter yearling heifer division.
