Great Lakes Crop Summit registration now open
MT. PLEASANT, MI -- Registration is now open for the fourth annual Great Lakes Crop Summit (GLCS). This event will be held Jan. 25-26, 2017 at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, Mount Pleasant, MI. Last year the event attracted over 900 attendees and over 60 exhibitors from across the state.
The event is co-hosted by the Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee, Corn Marketing Program of Michigan and the Michigan Wheat Program.
This year’s keynote speaker is Greg Peterson of The Peterson Farm Brothers. The brothers (and sister) from Kansas are known for turning famous songs into songs about agriculture through their YouTube parodies, and are also recognized as great advocates for agriculture. They use social media to reach the masses and talk about their day-to-day lives on their farm in Central Kansas. They raise beef cattle and grow wheat, corn, alfalfa, milo and soybeans.
In addition to a great keynote speaker, there will be many speakers from universities and industry who are experts in their respective fields. Topics to be covered include agronomy, on-farm technology, marketing and social media. There will also be a trade show filled with some of the best products and technologies related to Michigan agriculture. RUP and CCA credits will be available as well.
