Gelbvieh champions named at NAILE

MAYSVILLE, KY -- The NAILE Gelbvieh and Balancer® show took place at the 2016 North American International Livestock Exposition on Tuesday, November 15 in Louisville, Kentucky. Charlie Boyd of Maysville, KY, evaluated the Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle.

The grand champion Gelbvieh female was SKYS BCFG-SKYS Kali 282C, owned by Casey Martin, Oregon, IL. This September 17, 2015 daughter of BCFG Butlers Red Oak 908W first claimed the senior heifer calf division.

SBSF Bee Lick Brooke ET was named reserve grand champion Gelbvieh female. Owned by Double Diamond Farms, Cynthiana, KY. This heifer was first named champion senior heifer and is the September 10, 2014 daughter of BCFG Butlers Red Oak 908W.

Grand champion Gelbvieh bull went to GGGE 3G Blood Brother 454B ET, owned by Emily Griffiths, Kendallville, IN. This February 24, 2015 son of GGGE 3G Time Machine 758T ET first claimed the two-year old bull division.

Double Diamond Farms, Cynthiana, KY, also owned the reserve grand champion Gelbvieh bull. SSMK Delorean 221C ET is the February 21, 2015 son of GGGE 3G Time Machine 758T ET and came out of the junior bull division.

Grand champion Balancer female was BCFG Butlers 133C, owned by Alexandria Raab, Markle, IN. Sired by BCFG Butlers Bismarck 512Z, this heifer was born November 2, 2015 and first claimed the senior heifer calf division.

GHGF Calista 53B was named reserve grand champion Balancer female. Owned by Austin Teeter, Mt. Ulla, NC, this heifer came out of the senior heifer division. She is the November 14, 2014 daughter GHGF Zeus 61Z.

Emily Griffiths, Kendallville, IN, swept the Balancer bull division owning the grand champion Balancer bull and reserve grand champion Balancer bull. 

Grand champion Balancer bull was GGGE 3G Double Agent 602D, who is the January 6, 2016 son of GGGE 3G Smoke N' Mirrors. He first came out of junior bull calf division.

The reserve grand champion Balancer bull, GGGE 3G Diamond Mine 680D. He is the March 2, 2016 son of S S Hoover Dam 115B and first claimed the junior yearling bull division.
