Hoey named OFB organization director

COLUMBUS, OH – Audrey Hoey of Chillicothe has been named Ohio Farm Bureau Federation organization director for Fairfield, Hocking, Pickaway and Ross counties.

Hoey graduated in May from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in community leadership. She was an intern with Ohio Farm Bureau in the organization department, helping plan the Young Agricultural Professionals winter conference, AgriPOWER sessions and the county presidents’ trip to Washington, D.C. She also had internships with ADM Grain in Illinois and Walt Disney Co. in Florida.

As an organization director, Hoey will serve as a liaison between county Farm Bureaus and OFBF. She will assist county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen their organizations and enhance their ability to serve members and affect positive change in their communities.

Hoey has an American FFA degree and traveled to Costa Rica as part of the National FFA’s Stars and Proficiency program as well as to Honduras for study abroad while in college. 

She is a member of Ross County Farm Bureau, Agriculture Future of America and Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association and was involved with 4-H, FFA and the county junior fair board.

Ohio Farm Bureau is the state’s largest and most inclusive farm organization. Its mission is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.
