Huron County 4-H scholarship winners named
BAD AXE, MI -- The Huron County 4-H Council has awarded four $500 scholarships and is proud to announce this year’s recipients:
Tyler Gilbert is the son of Chad and Theresa Gilbert of Filion, and a member of the 4B’s 4-H Club for the past six (6) years. Tyler attends Bad Axe High School and plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University majoring in Entrepreneurship.
Emma Melnik is the daughter of Jeremy and Nicole Melnik of Ubly, and a member of Country Corners 4-H Club for the past thirteen (13) years. Emma attends Ubly High School and plans to attend Grand Valley State University majoring in Biomedical Sciences.
Jonathan Murray is the son of Tom and Sharon Murray of Ubly, and a member of Growing Go-ers 4-H Club for the past thirteen (13) years. Jonathan attends Ubly High School and plans to attend Delta College majoring in Electrical.
Ashley Weber is the daughter of Keith and Jennifer Weber of Minden City, and a member of Country Corners 4-H Club for the past seven (7) years.
Ashley attends Harbor Beach High School and plans to attend Delta College majoring in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
These four recipients have been active teen leaders in the 4-H program participating in various project areas at the fair, 4-H Club participation, Leadership and Community Service Programs. These students have made outstanding achievements in 4-H work and are planning to attend a college/trade school in the fall.
