Branch Area Career Center FFA Farm Toy Show

The Branch Area Career Center (BACC) will host the annual BACC FFA Alumni Farm Toy Show on Sunday, November 26 from 9 – 3 with many toys and tractor-themed items available for purchase. The show has been held for the last 26 years with several of the vendors having participated through the years.

“We have more than 15 vendors this year,” Bill Post said. Post works as the farm manager for the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences program at the school. “I really enjoy helping with this show.”

The show originally began as a farm toy show but with the growing interest in handcrafted items that lend themselves to the tractor theme, the group admitted some crafters as well. The items offered reflect the varying interest in popular brands of tractors and farm implements.

Many of the volunteers will be current members of the BACC FFA, assisting throughout the day with various duties and activities. Their primary job is to man the greeting table and announce the raffle winners.

The farm toy show is a fundraiser for the Alumni group as they give away ‘book’ scholarships to many of the graduating seniors as they prepare to go to college.

“We give each student who is going to college a small scholarship for books,” Post said. Each FFA member who is accepted to a college, graduates from high school and applies for the scholarship will receive it as the group was more interested in helping a number of the students rather than a few.

The school is located at 366 Morse St. in Coldwater, MI and admission to the event is free.
