Build skills for better money management with free webinar series
URBANA, IL. – Whether the past year has brought unplanned financial challenges or unexpected financial opportunities, now is a good time to make changes.
Let’s Talk Money is a free, online webinar series from University of Illinois Extension that can help individuals and families, no matter where they are with money, gain a better understanding of basic financial topics and improve their financial situation.
“Webinar participants this past summer learned that small changes can make a big difference,” says Kathy Sweedler, consumer economics educator at Illinois Extension. “Most importantly, participants realized they did not have to be afraid of their financial situation."
Sweedler says feedback from the previous series was so positive that she and her team decided to launch it again to help more people make a difference with their money.
The 8-week series helps consumers turn tough financial topics into more simple conversations. Participants will learn strategies to help them understand spending habits, manage debt responsibly, understand credit scores, and save money for retirement and other important life events.
Register at go.illinois.edu/TalkMoney for one or more sessions held on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. (CT).
